Today my fiancée and I saw mullet Fisherman hard at work on North Kirra Beach, Queensland.
We were sitting watching the world go by no clue a livelihood was in front of us.
The fisherman put a boat in the shallows of the ocean with a net in the boat and rowed in a semicircle the net fell
into the water. Once to the shore the fisherman frantically pulled in the net to reveal a mullet load.
The whole operation took about an hour.
The catch was not large but sustainable and enough to load up a few Sydney Fish Market boxes (lucky Sydney)
They agreed to their photos being taken and were very aware of people around them .
What a beautiful day and what a great experience.
It's awesome!!
