Let's be honest. We've all stood in the bathroom, our faces inches away from the mirror, and spent a good couple of minutes to an hour picking at our poor face.
Then, the next day, we instantly regret it and wish we could go back in time. Remember that small inconvenience? Well, now it’s a giant, stubborn and usually painful blemish the size of Mars.

You think to yourself, "I might as well just stay in my room for a whole week and never show my new hideous pet!" Trust me, I've been there and done that.

I get a giant, glowing blind pimple once every month or two. But do you know what? My life always carries on the same way. If you, like many other people, pick at the acne on your face, don't stress. Everyone goes through this eventually or has gone through it already.

You may get the question, "What is on your face?" every now and again from a kid with no filter, but they don't really care. They are just interested and most likely think it's an average scratch.

Every teenager and adult knows the struggle (they're probably grateful you have a pimple, since they don't want to be the only one). And your English teacher couldn't care less about the acne on your face, as long as you focus on learning and putting in effort.

In Australia, the average life expectancy is 79.9 years for males and 84.3 years for females. Now, please take a moment to digest this question: If you are going to live for about 80 years, why are you stressing about acne or a scab that will only last two days to a few weeks? See, it's pointless.

Of course, if we don't have any bad days, we wouldn't have those glorious moments of satisfaction. You know what I'm talking about; that moment when our skin is finally clear or that embarrassing pimple disappears.

So, be confident and walk into public with a genuine smile. Think about all the things you have accomplished and be proud of who you are. Don't let that minor inconvenience let you down. Let it be a reminder that you can get through anything, including the average pimple.

Popped or unpopped; large or small; painful or comfortable. Don't let the pimple wear you; wear your pimple. And do it with confidence.
