An Egyptian proverb says that a beautiful thing is never perfect. This saying acknowledges that beauty is often imperfect and nuanced, rather than absolute or flawless. It also acknowledges that beauty is based on perception.
As such, a Greek proverb says that the way we see things is the measure of our perception (taken from Aristotle’s “Rhetoric”) while an African proverb reads "The eyes see what the heart knows.”
I challenge you today to work toward improving your perception. Where can you change your perception? Where and how can you find beauty in people today?
Peace & love to all
