For this episode of my Beauty Empties series, I'm going to talk about this facial toner from the well-known Korean beauty brand, Etude House.
Etude House Wonder Pore Freshner Toner
What this product claims:
- This toner balances the pH level of your skin, makes it feels like a baby's skin, and prevents skin troubles caused by pH imbalance
- A 10-in-1 Solution: Deep cleansing, sebum control, pH4.5 care, tightening pores, for clear skin, giving elasticity, moisturizing
- Total pore solution: effectively cleans the inside and outside of pores with its special peppermint extract.
- Volume: 250ml
This is my first Korean Toner and I have already emptied one bottle of this one last year. This toner claims to calm down your skin which had suffered from the harsh environment; remove any impurities which remain even after cleansing; plus, rebalance the pH level of your skin as it is slightly acidic (pH 5.5), for a healthy and youthful skin.
I apply it after cleansing my face and it really does refresh it. It returns the moisture and I can slightly feel the tightening of the pores on my cheek area. I haven't seen a drastic amount of change yet but it works, I guess. Let's now go deeper to my review of this product.
PACKAGING:
The packaging for this product comes in a blue, transparent plastic bottle that has a cute label on it. I got the 250mL variant and I think the package is adorable.
CONTENT:
This toner comes with 250mL of product and it's plenty enough to last you for about 3 months if you use it day and night, which is what I do in my case. It's a good amount for the price that you are going to pay if you plan to buy it.
TEXTURE:
The product is very watery and you will need to use a cotton pad to apply it. It's not like the Dear Klairs Supple Preparation Toner that I talked about in my previous Beauty Empties Series.
SMELL:
This toner smells fresh and minty. I don't know how to describe it thoroughly, just really fresh, hehe.
APPLICATION:
This product feels refreshing and just like water when you apply it to your face. But once it dries up, I felt the tightening of my pores and as what its name says, "wonder pore", I think that is mainly what this product is all about. It's generally for pore care and I think this product will be great for those who want their pores to shrink.
EFFECTIVITY:
For all the 3-4 months of using this product, I can't exactly say that it made a change in my skin. Yes, it kind of makes my pores shrink but it didn't really do anything else. Or maybe it did? I don't know, maybe I just needed to use it more consistently.
PRICE:
This is priced at ₱540 and I think it is a good deal because you are getting 250mL of product.
The Verdict:
This Etude House Wonder Pore Freshner Toner is a decent toner over all. Its price point is a good deal with the amount of product you are getting, it didn't give me any bad reactions, and it smells nice. I'm going to rate it a 4 out of 5 stars just because I really didn't see its effects on me.
Is there anyone here who is on a skincare journey? What toner are you using? I'm going to end this product review here because I have already said all that I can say, hehehe.

Hi, maybe because it's tropical here in ph that's why we don't usually feel the effect of the product.

That may be one factor but it all boils down to your personal skin, really. I've read a bunch of Filipino beauty junkies who find this product great. It just didn't really work for me.
