I decided to go all out tonight and make an epic honey beer. Last 5 minutes of the boil I added 5kgs of honey as to kill all bugs that may be in the raw honey from our hives.

For all of you that brew your own beer you will know of an instrument called a hydrometer. This was the highest I have ever seen could it be from the extra sugar? Reading starting gravity of 0.062 my guess at the end of fermentation in 7 odd days now I'll have an atleast 6% alc beer?

After cooling my wort (unfermented beer) I gravity filled the glass Carboy fermenter. This is an epic 6 gallon glass fermenter covered in plastic. Why is it covered in plastic? If this drops which I hope never happens at least the clean up wont be too bad. I cut some holes in the outer film as to be able to see inside!

Below my 2 5 litre Carboys that I will be bottling tonight. The fermentation process is complete, hoping this to be an epic beer.
