OK Boomer is a 6.5% abv New England IPA made by Shebeen Brewing Company in Wolcott, Connecticut. Shebeen Brewing Company was launched in 2013 and has built a reputation as a great contract brewery for other local beer makers. They are home to the 'Cannoli Beer' made with select European grains, cream, nutmeg, cinnamon and vanilla to create a beer that simulates the famous Italian dessert pastry. OK Boomer is one of their New England Style IPA's brewed with Idaho Gem hops.

The Can

OK Boomer is served in a 16 ounce pint can. It features an older man wearing earpods and a Shebeen shirt, riding a lawn mower sipping on a beer and taking a selfie with a selfie-stick. OK Boomer is all that comes to mind. This fellow is trying his best to stay hip.

The Beer

OK Boomer was a light orange color with a fat, fluffy head of foam when poured into a glass. At 6.5% alcohol content, it's definitely a crushable IPA. The Idaho Gem hops give it a soft, pillow-like mouthfeel with a juicy flavor. Overall, it's a solid beer. I imagine the Boomers will be delighted if they try this after years of drinking Budlights and Coors. I look forward to trying more beers from Shebeen Brewing Company in the future!
