First beer brew since November: C++

in beerbrewing •  6 years ago

One of my hobbies is beerbrewing. I have been doing batches regular for about two years.
Mostly some Pale Ale variants but I have tried some stouts and cream ales as well.

The recipe this time was a Pale Ale that I have done before, that time it became really really good.

C++
Mash volume: ~16 l
Malt:
3 kg Pale Ale malt
150 g Carahell

Mash for 90 minutes at 65 degrees Celcius

Sparage with 2 liters of 80 degrees Celcius

Boil 60 minutes

I made twice the recipe, and boiled it in separate kettles

Hops:
45 g Cascade at boil
21 g Cascade with 15 minutes left
63 g Cascade at flame out.

Air lock that soon will bubble and let the carbon oxide out as the yeast eats the sugar and produce alcohol

Now I have two lovely fermentation vessels in the basement so hopefully I will be sipping on a homebrew to the games of the World Cup.

The label for the recipe. Can you see where the inspiration comes from?
