I love the American approach to sours! They are not as hardcore as Belgian ones that tend to rape my stomach

Ya the gentle ones I prefer more than the acid bombs some have dialed in. Though Belgium has the best of the best (Cantillon, 3F, etc..) that an American brewer could only DREAM of achieving. But the US has some class acts doin their thing. You ever try anything from De Garde? My favorite probably.

No, unfortunately, I haven't had a chance to try De Garde however in Europe we have quite good access to Cantillon, and others alike and my experience with them so far, is that time helps them to become more gentle and civilized, therefore I usually store them for a couple of years before drinking. Anyway, I never been a big fan of sours. Probably my favorite from, ,,sours" is mikkeller spontan dry hop citraMikkeller_SpontanDryHop_Citra__59173.1479798192.500.440.png

Ya Mikkel makes some good stuff. Wildly inconsistent though as to be expected from a gypsy brewer. But some of the Spontan series have been delicious! I must admit I am very jealous of your easy access to Cantillon, the lads go mental for that shit over here.....

I love peaches, what kind of beer is this?

Cellador - Akimbo (Batch 2): Table Sour aged in Chardonnay barrels w/ Masumoto Peaches & Nelson hops.

Ok a sour, hmmm never really know what to expect from sours.

Other than pure and utter deliciousness?!?!

some sours are just that, too sour. But I like certain fruits, peach and apricot especially

The folks from Cellador are super nice too. I met them at the CCBA Summit last September. 🍻

Kevin & Sara are the best. Kevin used to bring his homebrews to these local shares we had every month and won the night unanimously every time. So when he announced he was setting up shop, us locals couldn't have been more thrilled! Proud to be a Syndicate member this year!

How local are you to Cellador? Local, like LA, or local like The Valley? Regardless, you should meet @rmorel. He may or may not be near you.

It's like 1.5 miles from my house, so pretty damn local!

I too love sours and this one looks delicious! I will, however, be more cautious about going to sour beer fests. All those critters, I need to bring plenty of Pepto next time!
