Today is Friday again so I hope you all have time to

"Have another drink with Dadview"!

A while back I wrote a post called Great Local Beers. I love buying local when I can. Craft breweries are everywhere now. I would highly recommend to all of you readers to experiment and find a beer that is local to you. Then you can share one of your local beers with me. I promise if you recommend it then I will try it (if I can find it). So lets get on with the promised drink we were going to have together.

Moroccan Brown Ale

This beer is brewed in Toronto Ontario by a place called Spearhead Brewing Company. Here is the description on the back:

Rock the Casbah! Moroccan Brown Ale is a full-flavoured American style brown ale with a Moroccan accent. Inspired by the flavours of the Maghreb region of North-West Africa, this unique brown ale is made with dates, figs, raisins and a dash of cinnamon. It is unfiltered and naturally carbonated and has all the complex flavour and bouquet of a fine red wine with notes of plum, brown sugar and dried fruit.

This beer comes in at 6.0% alcohol by volume.

With the big game coming up this weekend, I had to pull out some of my Eagles gear for the photo shoot.

Dont worry, I will be sure to use the frosty mug and not the coffee mug!

Check out that pour! My mouth is watering.
Not too much foam but the foam didnt fade away after the pour. This beer was a nice brown colour and had a great aroma.

And now time for my favourite quote:

This was a very flavourful beer. It was sweeter than I had expected for a brown ale. It was a heavier bodied beer but I was only planning on drinking one so that was okay. After finishing this beer I was satisfied but I think it was a little too sweet for my liking.

Final Grade: 6.5 / 10

The beer is kind of looking good uhn... I Wish I could taste out of it lol

Too bad for you. But I did get to taste it! So lucky for me!

That sounds and looks interesting. Like you, I'm not a fan of overly sweet beers though, with limited exceptions, so this may not be one for me. I'd still give it a shot if I could find it though :)

Yeah, I would still say it is worth a try!
It just wouldnt be a go to beer for me.

I would expect darker beer to be more sweeter!!! I dont really drink beer often. I like some craft ones tho..

I only usually drink one or two at a sitting. The craft brews are perfect for that. Usually a bit higher alcohol content and more flavorful.

sounds like a really interesting flavor profile with the fig, raisin, cinnamon thing goin' on. I'll be on the lookout for it!

It was actually not bad, very flavourful.
Just a little too sweet for me.

Kraft beer is really growing in the UK, and on the back of it so it Artisan Coffee roasting - which is good for me 😃 As a spin off I am finding more sales to Kraft brewers of my own coffee to be use in coffee infused beers - which really do taste amazing. Love your expressions at the end - solid gold content a great share.

Next time I review a coffee infused beer, I will be sure to tag you!

bon appetit. beer seems good. especially its colour.

It was a great looking colour. Thanks for stopping in!

It sure looks like you've had a few already in the first pic🍻

I swear that this was my first!

Haha your face after you tried it is priceless!

Ha ha ha, I was in a fun mood this week.
I really enjoyed taking the photos and love how they turned out.

Haha same man! Hope that gun continues!

I'm having a few myself, I'm a right from the bottle kinda dude tho but the frosted mug does sound good too. I know what you mean by it being too sweet, that's a deal breaker for me. Enjoy your weekend bud 🍻

I like to buy cans for a couple of reasons.

  1. I prefer to drink from a glass.
  2. There is often better art on the cans
  3. I can crush the cans and it is easier to take back for recycling.
  4. Some places (like camp grounds) dont let you bring glass bottles.

The beer can is awesome 👍

Not bad then, hey, when it's got 6.5/10

I haven't seen that biere here, I don't think

It is was a little less sweet, I may have scored it higher.
Decent beer though. I wont lie, I often pick new beers based on the can art!

Now that looks like a good tasting beer I like how the can provides all that information. Lately I have been disappointed with the lack of information on many of the beers I drink some don't even list the Alcohol content.

Yeah, I was impressed by that also.
Sometimes you are drinking blindly!

This drink is not only testing but also beneficial for our health. But we all should don't involve this.
Thanks #dadview.
