There are sometimes when you look at a beer and have to ask, "is this really a good idea?" Those crazy folks in Spartansburg, SOUTH CAROLINA at the RJ Rockers Brewing Co. decided to brew a wheat ale with PEACHES. Before I get started, I am a firm believer that some things just should not be done to beer but ............ until you try you never can say never.

The boys at RJ Rockers have this to say about Son of a Peach.

Please understand these folks are in the middle of Peach Country. Just up the road in Gaffney, the dang water tower looks like a PEACH!

Did my best, and here is the pour.

She is a little flat on the pour. Sooo was it a good idea?

Well, I am not sure, I did enjoy it, but then again it is rare that I have a really bad beer. Did I like it? Yes, and I could taste the PEACH so not so bad. In fact a real good one offer on a hot Carolina day. I do not think that Son of a Peach is a drinker (meaning 3 or more at a time) but dang I would have it just to cool off or better yet I would have it with South Carolina BBQ made with their mustard sauce. I mean who the heck makes BBQ sauce with MUSTARD? I'll tell you who, those crazy folks in SOUTH CAROLINA, that's who! The same people who brew beer with PEACHES.

NOTE TO SELF: ONLY VISIT SOUTH CAROLINA NEVER MOVE THERE. :0

We live near Gaffney, South Carolina. I have tasted Son of a Peach beer on several occasions. We usually find it out the local Ingles Market grocery store, in the craft beer section.

It has a great flavor and not too sweet as you might first think it would be with having peaches in it.

I did enjoy it. I was not sure if I could handle 3 or 4 at a time. Have you had more than one at a time? Is it a drinker?
