Today's star is the last one of my Stone beers from the anniversary collection. This time this is:

HAZY WITH A CHANCE OF BLUEBERRIES

Well, I was expecting this one for a while. I was passionately waiting for the right moment to come and now here it is. The girl in the store told me "this one is a bit strange and very different from the others". So she make my deccision easier than ever. Bought one!

The base style of the beer is hefeweizen, and brewing it, Stone-rs have added a lot of blueberries and according to them, this "creates a more adult flavor profile that instead of being a slap in the face to the Reinheitsgebot with sugary artificial ingredients". Nice start, huh?

Poured in the glass, this beer explodes with mudiness, color and overall outlook. It really reminded me of one Balkan's very famous drink - "boza", which goes very well with one typical bulgarian breakfast - "banichka", but this is another topic...

So, really, very hazy. Extremely hazy! Hefewizen for sure. And the color speaking, there are for sure a lot of blueberries in this beer. Aromas were fruity, estery and the fruits added a nice touch to this all. This particular aroma reminded me a lot to one of my best homebrewed beers, which was a blueberry belgian strong ale, which was over about a year ago!

The head had a little bit brownish color with some purple hints in it. It was shining in a very special and for me unknown manner. In the mouth - very juicy with mid to mid-high carbonation. Blueberries were there for sure, and I really liked the way they were blending with the yeast esters. Actually my fiancee wasn't on my side, as she found this beer to be a bit too strange for her. Well, I know my tastes are very different and I love untraditional flavors and weird combinations, so this beer was a whole new world for me (beginning from the appearance!).

Luckily, I found a matching candle to have some nice photos. So... I do not know if I'm going to buy this beer again, if I have the chance, but it was definitely a very good experiment. Don't get me wrong here. The beer is very nice and delicious. I just think, that beers are constantly changing, and there will be some more beers, that I'm willing to try. So, find this one, try it and you will not regret this.

See ya soon, and happy #beersaturday weekend.
Cheers!

That is a very brown beer for a blueberry infused wheat beer, I wonder if the base was a lighter hefeweizen or more of a dunkelweiss.

It did not have some darker malts qualities, like caramel or some sort of biscuits flavor. I gues this is all due to the heavy fruiting. And maybe it looked a bit dark purple, but it cannot be seen on the photos here.
Cheers!

Boza taste? Interesting. As I know "boza" is made by the elder, it's a nice refreshing drink. We collect the flowers at home and make juice for children.
But I'm sure it would be nice to taste the boza beer :)

Only the appearance was similar! hehe... Not the taste.
It's made from grain flour, most commonly millet, but can of course be made from maize, wheat, and rice flours. I don't know if you have in mind the same thing.

Yeah, I know. But as you mentioned boza I thought about a boza drink which is not bad. I'd like to taste a beer with similar aroma...

I’ve noticed you’re from Slovenia, right? 🇸🇮 Correct me if I’m wrong!
I love Slovenia for absolutely everything I’ve ever seen, when visiting this country!(and I have visited a lot of European countries.) And beers... oh, that beers. Cheers, fellow!

You're right! Cheers!
