If someone had told me 4 years ago I would be typing out my story three weeks into a yacht delivery on the east coast of Malaysia with two frenchies, a hula hooping yogi and the man of my destiny journey I would have laughed! I still pinch myself just to check that this life I am living is not a dream.
The story I am about to tell to you is that of the destiny journey and the lessons I learnt in order to live the life that allows me to feel free and experience life to its fullest!
I had always wondered why everyone else around me seemed so put together and accomplished. Everyone seemed to have life all figured out and there I was unhappy and poor, constantly wanting more of something I could not quite put my finger on.
Every bad instance in my life was someone else fault and I felt asthough that there was something wrong with me. Life was just not working for me, I couldn't quite keep up with the rhythm of the rat race.
I guess I should have realised in my third year when my lecturer asked us to write down where we see ourselves in 5 years time and me being the only one in the class to state that I want to be managing a backpackers on the east coast of Africa, that fashion was not quite for me. I laugh at the memory as it feels like just yesterday!
My studies in fashion design lead me into jobs that were underpaid and overworked.
One day, I had enough, I was exhausted. I needed to try something new. I needed to get out!
But what am I going to do!?
I was stumped!
I thought what about being a chef?
I mean, I had always loved to cook and even took any spare time I had to help out a well known catering company with odd jobs. But how? I haven't even got culinary training! All the questions in the world, I asked the universe! But none were answered.
Until I said ok universe I leave it in your hands, I fully trust that you will guide me in the right direction.
