Why @bellastella could be "smart" bullying. I have to say something.

in bellastella •  8 years ago

At SteemFest I talked to one of the @bellastella people, you @twinner

When we talked you said that @stellabelle is going on the nerves of many of you.

I felt it immediately that something could be fishy. Before all the pictures were taken with the puppet. I thought that this could be a smart attempt to bully stellabelle because after the pics were taken without the people knowing that mean thoughts are behind it, it is difficult for the people on the photos to admid that they made a mistake and did not know about the bad intention.

Now I read that the name bellastella was invented before the author knew stellabelle and that it has nothing to do with her.

I am writing this because otherwise I would feel wrong to say nothing. I already should have said something at SteemFest but I am not superman and have weaknesses.

I do not want to destroy your party. We had a good time together @twinner and you are a good man but could it be that you did something here which was a bit too much of a joke and now you intent to make it look as if this would have nothing to do with stellabelle or that she was going on the nerves of many of you? That this whole thing is planned to make fun of stellabelle but make it look as everything is coincidence?

Hey @shla-rafia

I am the person behind the pics and the texts of bellastella. As already explained the name was found in a "democratic" and openly available process. There have been names like "Owly McOwlface" and others, but bellastella did it.

She is cute and the name bellastella is a cute name as well. Even if there is some resemblance, there is no pun intended. BTW it is quite impossible to avoid these resemblances, having over 100k accounts registered. Imagine having millions of accounts...

Probably you have seen also, that @stellabelle is taking it with humour and I will make sure to give her a hug with bellastella if we meet one day. "Congenial Sisters United"

There are so many things happening in the background of steem and steemit. I think bellastella is one of the lesser things you should be concerned with.

A last point. Bellastella was a well known character quite before Steemfest and I explained in large that I will use the pics I took, to blog about it.

The only person who really could say, that I was "bullying" him, is in fact @roelandp , who I indirectly "accused" of "sexual harrassment" by pinching bellastella in her back. But even a very dense person could see that this is 100% satiric.

The picture you have chosen is originally part of bellastellas contribution to the Steemit Photo Challenge, the Topic was "Glamour and Makeup"

Even if I re-read the article with your perspective, I am not able to find side blows to stellabelle.

Anyway... Thx for the promotion towards @bellastella !

PS(SATIRE): Soon there will probably be a male owl as a partner to bellastella on steemit. I think about naming him "zakikno2015" ... any problems with that?

Ok, thanks for explaining in detail.

If it's satire, is it bullying? I skimmed the posts and I see some things in there that could be considered satirical maybe, but it seems loose.

My own boundary for satire/bullying would be the tone and spirit of it. If it's mean spirited, it would cross that line. Is there anything like that in these posts?

When I talked to twinner he first said something like 'we all hate her' and when I looked up wondering why he said that and has the puppet he said 'she is going on our nerves' . I was irritated because that means negative intention. I just wanted to say this. Its very smart tactics to make fun aboute someone and at the same time make it appear friendly.
