Beer (both with or without alcohol), apart from quenching thirst and raising spirits has a wide range of benefits for our health; one a day for women and two for men.
Prevents aging
Drinking beer makes you a better lover
The last book of the sexologist Kat Van Kirk entitled "The Married Sex Solution: A Realistic Guide to Saving Your Sex Life" (Solution to marital sex: a realistic guide to save your sex life), exposes four values or positive effects of beer for the man facing his sexual encounters.
The first effect is that beer delays premature ejaculation thanks to the plant-like phytoestrogens (estrogen-like compounds) it contains, as some scientific studies have confirmed as a means of delaying orgasm. The 8-prenylnaringenin (8-PN) of the hops is the most potent known phytoestrogen.
The second effect is that beer (especially black beer) increases libido and promotes longer and also more intense erections. This consequence is the result of the high levels of iron present in darker and stronger beers that increase the amount of blood that reaches the penis and therefore improve the erection.
The third positive effect is that beer increases sexual stamina. Thus, according to a study published in the European Journal of Epidemiology, 31% of men who drank beer moderately had less risk of cardiovascular disease compared to those who did not drink this beverage.
The fourth effect is that beer, thanks to the large amount of B vitamins and probiotics, "can help strengthen overall health and settle the stomach better, so you will not feel heavy after drinking during sex", explains Van Kirk.
Heart health
According to a study carried out by Italian scientists and published in the European Journal of Epidemiology, beer, like red wine, has beneficial effects on heart health. Thus, moderate beer drinkers have a 42% lower risk of heart disease. This positive effect is due to the polyphenols it contains, which, as natural antioxidants, participate in the protection against cardiovascular diseases.
Provides fiber
Beer, being made up of barley, contains beta-glucans, a type of soluble fiber that helps reduce cholesterol levels. It does not provide an excellent amount of fiber (0.75 grams per 330 milliliters) but it is an extra contribution of the recommended 25 grams of daily fiber.
