Ghee, pronounced "hew-kee", is derived from clarified butter. Basically it's made by rapidly heating raw butter until the milk solids, fats, and water start separating from the butter, which are then quickly strained out to leave only the smooth, fat-free, nutty fat. Ghee can be solid or semi-solid. Pure ghee is the lightest and most flavorless form of ghee available on the market. Pure ghee benefits are numerous, including:
Grass-fed ghee benefits the user's health in a variety of ways, including: improved heart health, reduced risk of cardiovascular disease, reduced cancer risk, decreased LDL cholesterol levels, increased HDL cholesterol levels, and improved diabetes management. While many manufacturers label their butter as "grass-fed", there is no official regulation as to what that means.
In other words, grass-fed ghee may contain no butter or fats, but it may have been processed using a number of techniques (including washing and trimming of the stems, boiling, and pressing) that reduce the amount of saturated fat present. Ghee that has undergone a thorough ghee manufacturing process will retain more of its saturated fat, whereas ghee that has been processed less will retain little to none of its saturated fat and more carbohydrates and protein.
Ghee supports weight loss because it contains essential fatty acids. When combined with a sensible diet and exercise, ghee can help you lose weight and reduce your risk for coronary artery disease and heart disease. In addition, it is believed to provide additional health benefits including protection against Alzheimer's disease and Parkinson's disease, as well as reducing blood pressure, improving skin tone, boosting the immune system, increasing muscle strength, and lowering the "bad" cholesterol in your body. All of these benefits lead experts to believe that ghee has far more benefits than simply providing a delicious alternative to butter or shortening.

There are two primary health benefits of Ghee that have been studied.

One is that it reduces the risk of degenerative eye diseases such as glaucoma. This is primarily due to the conjugated linoleic acid (C Linoleic Acid) that is conjugated with the fatty acid in the meat. Ghee increases the naturally occurring conjugated linoleic acid in the body, which helps to protect the eyes. Some research has indicated that conjugated linoleic acid may also reduce the incidence of certain types of cancer.

The second health benefit of Ghee that has been studied is that it stimulates the digestive process. Ghee increases the production of digestive enzymes, which helps to speed up the digestive process. It is commonly used as a natural digestive aid in people with lactose intolerance, as well as in people with Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis.
This means that if you are suffering from one of these conditions, you should use ghee as a daily moisturizer. Not only does it improve the appearance of the skin and promote healthy cell growth, but it also speeds up the digestive process, which means you get more nutrients absorbed into the body.

Ghee also increases the production of beneficial short-chain fatty acids that help maintain healthy skin and can even be used to treat skin problems such as eczema and psoriasis.

There are many different properties found in Ghee that make it an excellent source for a diet that promotes good health. It contains conjugated linoleic acid, which is an essential fatty acid. It also has vitamin B-12 and vitamin E, both of which are important for healthy digestion. It also contains potassium, phosphorus, sodium, magnesium and zinc, all of which are important for good digestion.
