Going with the flow, meanwhile creating a monster!

So i met Rumyana the model in this photograph at a fashion show at a bar near by they used to hold events every month where designers would come and showcase some of their clothes. I was just mingling about and photographing some behind the scenes action as i happened to have a camera in one hand and a pint in the other. I wasn't the official photographer or anything as a matter of fact i don't even think they had an official photographer it was a kind of mish mash of everyone just taking photographs of everything and anything.

So the rooms filled with at least 10 make up artists and a dozen more models and thats where i met Rumyana and her friend Nicole they were students from Bulgaria and till date i don't think i've met anyone who loves the camera so much. We became friends and ended up shooting almost every week. Without a plan in mind if it snowed we would just go shoot, or if i had the day of we would just end up shooting in studio. So after months of shooting her their came a time where we had kind of shot almost everything i mean she exhausted her collection of clothes i exhausted all the different backgrounds, concepts and locations i could think of at the time bearing in mind this was an easy 4/5 years ago and i was just starting of as a portrait photographer.

So now we were out of normal ideas we kind of just started going with the flow. I had 2 masks i got from Venice on one of my holidays that used to sit in the corner of the studio so she put them on and one thing led to another and 30 minutes later we were painting her face in and spreading her hair out on the floor and painting half her face in without any idea of what look we were going for. Here is the shot we ended up with still one of my favourite shots i've taken because i still cant work out what i was trying to achieve but it came out pretty cool if i say so myself. Oh and the fur jacket makes it into the shot once more again.
