EASTERN SATELLITE
There are no changes in the outlook for Saturday. It should be a nice sunny day with highs reaching the 70s. Temperatures along the immediate South Shore and East End will be in the 60s once the sea breeze takes over. No rain is in the forecast for Saturday and Saturday night.
Sunday presents some minor issues. We are going to see some clouds coming back into the mix as warmer and more humid air starts to move in. We will also see some showers and thunderstorms developing across Pennsylvania Sunday however they should stay out of Long Island until well after dark. We will call it a mix of sun and clouds for Sunday with highs in the 70s but in the 60s along the shore.
Sunday night into Monday morning we could see a few showers or a thunderstorm as a warm front goes by. After that weather conditions improve on Monday with sunshine and clouds and a west wind. This could send temperatures up into the 80s especially in Nassau and Northwest Suffolk County. This will depend on whether the sun succeeds in breaking through the cloud cover. Dry cooler but seasonal weather returns on Tuesday with another chance for showers late Wednesday or Wednesday night.
Please note that with regards to any tropical storms or hurricanes, should a storm be threatening, please consult your local National Weather Service office or your local government officials about what action you should be taking to protect life and property.
