En tal fecha como hoy 19 de febrero, pero lunes de carnaval, hace 25 años la vida me colocó frente a un fuerte conflicto: hospitalizada y en peligro de muerte. En virtud de ello, me despedí de mis dos pequeños hijos, el mayor de cuatro años. El menor de cuatro días, nacido el 15 de febrero. Y decidí que el menor fuese con mi mamá y el mayor con una gran amiga Denys, quien tenía un hijo de su misma edad. Y me puse en manos de Dios. Mientras mi esposo iba y venía conmigo. Me acompañó también una entrañable amiga, Yolanda, experta en terapia intensiva, quien no se separó de mi lado hasta que la estrategia médica se definió. Dicen que yerba mala nunca muere. Lo cierto es que no era mi momento y aquí estoy, 25 años después, echando el cuento, muy agradecida con Dios por el gran regalo de ver crecer y hacerse adultos a mis hijos.

Mi problema fue causado por una deficiencia sanguínea congénita, que favoreció una hemorragia interna y la necesidad de transfusiones. La deficiencia fue descubierta a raíz de este incidente. Y esto puso condiciones nuevas a mi vida, mayormente preventivas para evitar situaciones de riesgo.

My problem was caused by a congenital blood deficiency, which led to internal bleeding and the need for transfusions. The deficiency was discovered in the wake of this incident. And this put new conditions in my life, mostly preventive to avoid risky situations.

No acostumbro a hablar de esta parte de mi vida y mucho menos escribirla, porque se puede caer en lo melodramático, yo prefiero recordarla como un milagro, que revivo y agradezco en cada nuevo cumpleaños, especialmente cuando la fecha queda tan cercana a los carnavales, como este año.

I am not used to talking about this part of my life and much less writing it, because it can fall into the melodramatic, I prefer to remember it as a miracle, which I relive and thank on each new birthday, especially when the date is so close to the carnivals, like this year.

Por lo demás, tuve un día tranquilo; gris y frío como suelen ser los días de invierno. No se vio el azul durante todo el día. Dí un pequeño paseo, a pesar de la temperatura y tomé algunas fotografías, porque la vegetación también en invierno es hermosa.

Otherwise, I had a quiet day; gray and cold as winter days tend to be. No blue was seen all day. I took a little walk, despite the temperature, and took some pictures, because the vegetation is also beautiful in winter.

Y de comida, algo sencillo y sabroso que nos encanta, puré de patatas (papas) y mini-hamburguesas. El puré lo preparé con nata líquida, sobre las papas recién cocinadas, pues así se desmoronan más rápido y se forma muy fácilmente un puré cremoso. Las hamburguesas, las preparé con carne picada (molida), sazonada con cebolla, ajo, perejil, pimienta y sal. Se preparan en unos minutos con el freidor de aire.

And for food, something simple and tasty that we love, mashed potatoes (potatoes) and mini-burgers. I prepared the puree with liquid nara, on the freshly cooked potatoes, as this way they crumble faster and form a creamy puree very easily. The hamburgers, I prepared them with minced meat (ground), seasoned with onion, garlic, parsley, pepper and salt. They are prepared in a few minutes with the air fryer.
