Hi All
It's two from two this Weekend for my Steemit followers, and I hope you have been enjoying reading my previews. For newcomers to my blog, yesterday we had two winners, the Perth vs Melbourne A League match paying $1.50 for both teams to score and a goal in each half in the EPL battle between Bournemouth and Newcastle which paid $1.75.
So, before the sun subsides over here on the West Coast of Australia, it's time for another A-League prediction, this time its the Sydney derby, when Sydney FC host the Western Sydney Wanderers at Allianz Stadium.
Two Great Coaches
Josep Gombau the former Barcelona youth team coach, currently has the Wanderers in 6th on the Hyundai A league ladder, while Sydney FC's Graham Arnold, touted by many to be the next coach of the Australian National team, has his charges in a commanding 1st place, nearly 3 games clear of the next best Newcastle Jets.
A Bridge Too Far
Former Sydney FC marksman Mark Bridge "wound up" the Sydney FC camp midweek, claiming that blues star Alex Brosque should hang up boots, despite the pair playing alongside each other for almost 4 years.
Coach Graham Arnold promptly claimed that Bridge, after leaving the club and then heading spell overseas, wanted to rejoin Sydney FC, but was in fact turned down. Read into it what you will, but with Sydney averaging 2.5 goals per game this season, it's hard to see how Bridge will turn this one around on his own. Although he does possess a bit of class about him and is now Captain of the Wanderers.
Prediction
Despite Sydney's standout season, this still is a derby, and there will be plenty of feeling in this one. With a solid crowd expected, and Sydney's obvious prowess yes they do look the likely winners, but not without a fight from the one time Asian Champions. Take both teams to score at $1.61.
