Anointing is God's Investment

11 And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;
12 For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:

The aim of every investor is to get profit from his investments in due time. The price of investing in a venture or in a person is very costly, therefore no one wants to invest in a bad business or a poor business plan. It is however unfortunate that some people waste God's investment upon their lives but they probably do not see it in this light.

The reference scripture above talks about different offices within the church that ministers of God may occupy, as well as the reason why they occupy those positions - "For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ". Some preachers in the world today use their spiritual office as a platform to rise into fame, in the process, losing the essence of their calling.

Spiritual growth is often confused with promotion/ordination. This is why many people are ordained for offices that they do not have to grace to function in.

If your calling is to be a teacher in the church, stay within your calling and do it with all your strength, because you will give account of it. If you however deviate from this in pursuit of a so-called higher calling, you may be treading the wrong path.

Hospitals are full of sick people, some having some hope of healing, some however have been condemned to a lifetime of suffering from diseases of all kinds, while we have many people with the healing anointing probably getting busy with secular affairs or attending to other activities that do not conform directly with their calling. Apostle Paul urged Timothy in 1 Timothy 4:14 saying...

Do not neglect the spiritual gift that is in you, which was given to you when the prophets spoke and the elders laid their hands on you

Many people still die from spiritual attacks, many lay in perpetual bondage, despite being regular in church services where anointed ministers are present. Jesus did not keep his anointing hidden, as the Bible says He went about doing good, neither were the apostles bothered by position.

How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him. - Acts 10:38

This is a charge to every minster to stay within their calling. If you have the gift of prophesy, then prophesy. If you're gifted with healing, be a blessing to those who constantly live in pain and anguish. If you're called to be an evangelist, do not confine yourself to a space in the name of a higher assignment of pastoral work or "general overseer"

God's anointing is not to be wasted like the unfaithful servant did in Matthew 25. Ensure that you continuously edify the body of Christ.

And cast ye the unprofitable servant into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth. - Matthew 25:30
