Righteousness in the Bible: Who lends money to the poor without interest; who does not accept a bribe against the innocent

Only righteous people are accepted by the Lord, and only they, can give a true cult and worship, the Psalm 15 tells us, because if we love God we must also love our neighbor.
This is how the psalm begins:
"LORD, who may dwell in your sacred tent?
Who may live on your holy mountain?" Psalm 15:1.
The Bible teaches us that righteousness, like mercy (compassion, kindness, gentleness), and the fear of God (constancy, firmness, devotion) spring from the heart of man. Can a hard-hearted man take pity on his neighbor and serve God? Intentions and thoughts are born from the heart of man.
Righteousness and sin are presented as paths for man, the neighbor matters or not, and it is here at this crossroads where each man plays his own freedom, as the Bible explains: "God in the beginning created human beings and made them subject to their own free choice" Ben Sira 15:14.
And the righteous life, that life that is born from a heart of flesh towards the Lord, has specific characteristics: not lying, not harming others, not giving false testimonies, not practicing usury, and honoring the divine. Serving our neighbor is also serving God.
This is how Psalm 15 explains the importance of a righteous life, a psalm that reminds us of the importance of having a pure heart before God:
"The one whose walk is blameless,
who does what is righteous,
who speaks the truth from their heart;
whose tongue utters no slander,
who does no wrong to a neighbor,
and casts no slur on others;
who despises a vile person
but honors those who fear the LORD;
who keeps and oath even when it hurts,
and does not change their mind;
who lends money to the poor without interest;
who does not accept a bribe against the innocent.
Whoever does these things
will never be shaken" Psalm 15:2-5.
And all these sensible attitudes have a logical conclusion. The Psalm concludes by teaching us that all this has a blessing, the safe life, and this implies prosperity, peace, and longevity. God wants to bless us but the choice is ours.
