Lower the speed limits in Viera.

Do something far more productive than voting today. Give Brevard County Traffic operations a call and request a safety study on Lake Andrew Drive in Rockledge, FL. Make the "safety study" request for Lake Andrew Drive between Judge Fran Jamieson way.

The current speed is 45 MPH and should be 20 MPH. The area is now a densely populated area with large increase in condos and apartments directly across the street from The Avenue shopping center.

I have contacted the Viera corporation and requested their assistance. The speed limit made sense back when the area was rural 8 years ago. Today the area has grown exponentially in last year. Most crossroads also now have a traffic signal which in turn makes trying to speed through the area nonsensical. People drive very fast and get stopped at the intersection, this area should be pedestrian focused and walking, golf carting or bicycling should be the primary means of transport.

The speeds of motor vehicles must be lowered to make this safe and enjoyable. Do something today and give them a call
