You know us a little bit now, you know that we're a little crazy on the edges and that we like to make plans even if they're completely crazy!
Well, here is the last of our projects straight out of our little barjo heads: cross Brittany in its length, cross Brittany from Nantes to Brest by bike and with the children!
It's been a while since Mr. Daddy talked about kayaking up the canal with a friend. Unfortunately, the canal is not suitable for kayaking everywhere, especially at certain locks. They would have had to take them out of the water, roll them several hundred metres in some places....
In short, too complicated in logistics and then almost impossible with the little ones... (I remind you that the goal is to have a good time, not to take the lead!
So to try the adventure anyway but as a family, we chose the bike option.
But we're not going to make the road on our own since we're going with our friends from Brest.
We will therefore go up the canal from Nantes to Brest to 4 adults and 3 children (approximately 4.5 years, 2.5 years and 1 year).
For the moment we are planning to leave for this adventure during the holidays of April 2017. We give ourselves a maximum week to do it knowing that normally we can do it in much less time but we give ourselves a margin in case of weather problems or technical problems for example.
I must confess that I love it when we go for a walk and walk along the canal as I have already shown you here and there, so I'm very excited about this future trip even if I'm a little anxious for my buttocks (and yes, I can feel that my cucul is going to be expensive with so many hours on a saddle).
With this new project I will come back from time to time to tell you about the progress of the preparations and probably our purchases and equipments for the road and more specifically concerning the children!
Finally we only left the 4 of us, Mr Papa, Super Pirate (4 years old), Mister Papouille (13m months) and myself without our friends from Brest.
They couldn't come because they are expecting a happy event for next summer, so the trip would have been complicated for them and moreover he was in the navy and didn't get his holidays as he wanted. But they followed our journey closely and were our logistical support if we had a problem. They were the ones who kindly kept our car during the trip and picked us up at the last lock.
