Today March 2nd which is a Friday was Billy Graham's funeral.
If you don't know who Billy Graham was he was a Christian evangelist one of the biggest the world has ever seen.
A very connected man. And a very powerful family and Legacy.
I won't be getting into too much past details or cause of death in this blog post on steemit. There's enough information out there to fill in and get you up to date.
The service was watched by over 28,000 people on NBC which live streamed it on YouTube.
Billy Graham even met the Pope John Paul II as seen here in this old picture.
There were many people in attendance at Billy Graham's funeral today including president Donald Trump and his wife. As well as the vice president.
The livestream from NBC went for quite a while with no action. After a while a bunch of family members left the church with the cross on it. Followed shortly by a what looked to be Marine. And then finally some more family members. And the casket came later on.
There was a slight breeze through the entire service with small points of heavier gusts. In one case Billy Graham's daughter was giving her speech and all of her Kleenex flew off of Billy Graham's pulpit haha.
The funeral itself didn't feel like a funeral as much as it did a celebration.
It was refreshing as if you are and a fan of Billy Graham to see such a joyous and relaxed occasion. There was a beautiful pianist playing in the beginning followed by a few bands. There was an acapella group comprised of five men who really Drew my attention in the ceremony.
All in all Billy Graham will be remembered as we all remember his legacy and the way he shined through Christ's love not So Much by talk but through the way he lived.
