The philosopher Friedrich Nietzsche was born on October 15, 1844, in the town of Göcken bei Lutzen, Germany. Frederick Wilhelm Nietzsche was born on October 15, 1844, in Khoken bei Lutzen, a small village in Prussia (part of present Germany). His father, Karl Ludwig Nietzsche, was the forerunner of Lutheranism, who died when Frederick was 4 years old. His mother, Francesca, brought him up and his younger sister, Elizabeth.Nietzsche attended a private high school in Nuremberg and received a traditional education at the prestigious Skolpforta School. After graduating in 1864, he enrolled at the University of Bonn for two semesters. He moved to the University of Leipzig where he studied philology, a collection of literature, linguistics and history. The death of Frederick Nietzsche

Nietzsche suffered a collapse in 1889 while living in Turin, Italy. He spent the last decade of his life mentally incapacitated. The reason for his madness is still unknown, although historians have attributed to various causes such as syphilis, inherited brain diseases, and overuse of sedative drugs. After staying in Asilom, Nietzsche's mother took care of him in Noumburg. He died in Weimar on 25 August 1900.
