Birch avenue of the Donaumoos / Birkenalleen des Donaumooses (7 HQ photos)

I had already finished the series about the Donaumoos, but I had forgotten those pictures. They show a point of view on the edge of Donaumoos. The road comes down a hill, winds a few times and then becomes a dead straight many kilometers long. In many places, the pioneer plants of the Donaumoos, the birch trees, are lined up in the form of avenues and mark the path through the expanse of the moss.

In the last picture, the end of the street can only be surmised, it defies the viewer by the slight flickering of the tar. Many villages are 5 and more kilometers long and only built on the left and right side of the road. But here, too, the building delusion moves in and, step by step, roads are being built and developed parallel to the main roads. Not without danger, as the groundwater level rises during long rainy seasons and comes to the surface, then the moss becomes a large lake landscape.

Ich hatte ja die Serie über das Donaumoos bereits beendet, aber diese Bilder hatte ich vergessen. Sie zeigen einen Standpunkt am Rande des Donaumooses. Die Straße kommt einen Hügel herunter, windet sich ein paar Mal und wird dann zu einem schnurgeraden viele Kilometer langen Stück. An vielen Stellen sind die Pionierpflanzen des Donaumooses, die Birken, in Form von Alleen aufgereit und markieren den Weg durch die Weite des Mooses.

Im letzten Bild ist das Ende der Straße nur zu vermuten, sie entzieht sich dem Betrachter durch das leichte Flimmern des Teers. Viele Dörfer sind 5 und mehr Kilometer lang und nur links und rechts der Straße bebaut. Aber auch hier zieht der Bauwahn ein und Stück für Stück werden auch Straßen parallel zu den Hauptstraßen gebaut und erschlossen. Nicht ganz ungefährlich, da bei langen Regenzeiten der Grundwasserspiegel steigt und an die Oberfläche kommt, dann wird das Moos eine große Seenlandschaft.
