Eurasian Kingfischer a pretty shy bird

Since I don't do Hide-Photography and all my pictures are made down in the forest, at lakes or riverbeds without any camouflage, it is difficult for me to get some pictures of birds that are a bit shyer than the others. One of these shy birds is the Eurasian Kingfisher. And if this bird sees you it will probably flee immediately. I have already seen a lot of very beautiful pictures of these birds and a photography girlfriend of mine like to take pictures of these kingfishers from her camouflage tent. I don't have a camouflage tent till now, and therefore it is a bit difficult to take pictures of certain species.

But maybe in the future I will try to do some photography from a camouflage tent, still I think this will be way too boring for me as I like walking through the forest and take pictures of birds as I see them. Waiting several hours on a spot where the Kingfisher might show up is probably not my favorite thing to do.

Today the kingfisher tried to trick me, when it flew several times in front of my lens, but since it is a very fast bird it is very difficult to get a sharp picture when taking pictures in flight, especially in the evening like today there was already very little light, and it was virtually impossible. But finally I got a picture of him waiting on an old tree stump, because I was lucky that it set down for fishing.
