Look who's back!

This male turtledove spent the winter with us. In early spring, he was returned to the wild. As I said, I never keep healthy birds in aviaries! But apparently he didn’t enjoy being independent ... I still hope that he will change his mind, find a mate and start a family.

      That does not surprise me at all, he is just coming back to let you know he has survived.
