WindTurbines -- Killing Wildlife.

Suposedly there are people getting paid to clean up the dead carcasses of birds, and bats who have flown into the path of the wind turbines.
How can we prevent this from occuring, what kind of safe gaurd would these birds and bats adhear to?
Is it just a dream to think we can generate clean energy without harm?

What about disease? and the balance of the peking order
