I have always hear and read about these but this was the first time for me to see and photograph one.
Its head and chest is emerald green with a deep blue body and tail
The wings are blood red so the bird displays very striking colors as it flies. This portion of the forest was quite thick so you can see the difficulty of getting a clear shot, as it hopped around, amid the leaves of the forest canopy.
Wow, nice photo, and nice bird!
It is not easy to find one of this and having the chance of take a nice photo..
