How to Know If You're Bisexual

Bisexuality is the romantic and/or sexual attraction to more than one gender. Bisexuality is not a new phenomenon; it has been around for centuries. The term bisexuality derives from the Latin word “bi” meaning two and “sexual” meaning of or pertaining to sex (gender).

There are many misconceptions about bisexuality, such as the idea that bisexual people are promiscuous or that they cannot be monogamous. Some people also believe that bisexuals are gay or lesbian, but this is not true because they can be attracted to either gender. Some bisexual people may feel that they are straight, gay, or lesbian depending on the person they are currently attracted to.

People who identify as bisexual may feel like they don't fit in with other members of the LGBTQ+ community because there is a lack of representation in media and society at large.

The First Calls

It's not always easy to figure out if you are bisexual, but there are ways to get answers. One of the ways is by talking to someone you trust or by talking to a professional. But first, you can listen to yourself and ask yourself a few simple questions.

  • Which dating site do you prefer?

You're not limited to general hookup platforms as your interests are broader, so you're always on the lookout for the right site that includes bisexual dating as you look primarily at common interests and matches with the person, not their gender. There are many reasons why people might be attracted to more than one gender. Some people find it easier to identify as bisexual because they feel like they can relate to both sexes and have no problem looking for bisexual hookups. While others may find it difficult to decide right away and they will wait until the site itself offers them bisexual matching.

  • Do you feel like you want to switch sides?

These days, people are more likely to be attracted to people of different genders. There are many reasons for this, but the most common is that people are becoming more open minded. You might have feelings for both men and women, but not know if you are attracted to both sexes equally. As a result, many people go through an identity crisis trying to figure out who they are.

It is important to remember that there are no wrong answers when it comes to exploring your sexuality, and that you should never feel pressured into coming up with one.

  • Do you have dreams where you are attracted to different sexes?

When people think of dreams, they usually think of images that are often very bizarre or nonsensical. Dreams are difficult to remember and can be hard to decipher. A dream is a sequence of images, sounds, thoughts, feelings and emotions that happen during sleep. Dreams can be vivid and can seem so real that people who have them often believe they have really happened. The content of dreams varies widely from one person to the next.

Some people may have dreams about being bisexual, but it doesn't necessarily mean that they are actually bisexual. It is possible that they are just curious about the topic of bisexuality. But if you are dreaming of someone specific, someone from a bisexual dating site, or a bisexual celebrity, then you might need to take a closer look at your preferences. This is just a reason to think are you bisexual, but it can help you decide.

  • Have you ever had closer contact with someone of the opposite sex than your usual preference?

If you have had dates in your life, as well as kisses that cross the line of friendship and gravitate towards romantic overtones, and you were not against it, then this is also a good reason to think.

For example, when you were in high school, you had a crush on a girl. For the following two years, you had a crush on a boy. It was that time in your life when you were experimenting with your sexuality and exploring who you are as an individual. Your confusion about your sexuality led you to use the label "bisexual" but it wasn't until recently that you have been able to confidently say that this is who you are.

Some people say that bisexual dating is more complicated than straight or gay dating because there are more combinations of people you can date. This may be true, but it also means that there are more possibilities for finding someone who you can have a successful relationship with.
