Register of paying and non paying bitcoin faucets (updated 15-06-2016)

in bitcoin •  9 years ago  (edited)

I'll be recording my journey as I try and make money from bitcoin faucets I find along my search, I'll share any news and try and keep and up-to-date list of bitcoin faucets I've personally tried and either succeeded with or found to fail.

About Me
I'm a Web Developer from Cape Town South Africa, recently married my beautiful wife and with the marriage came a lot of expenses. Since I'm the breadwinner in the house (a rented guest's quarter) and we only had bedroom furniture and a few essential kitchen appliances moving in, marriage came with a buncha costs, with an impact on my budget of which I wasn't entirely aware.

I tried freelancing online; no one wants to hire a person with no previous project references on the specific website they're using. Not unless you're practically working for free. Microjobs; most of the survey sites and microjobs are for first world workers. And mTurks no longer accept signups from outside the US! Like any of them need it, psssh! people out here in Africa are starving to death everyday!

Bitcoin
So I heard about bitcoin a while ago and then came across an article; long story, short - I looked up the price of BTC to USD and it was at a little over $520! this was on the 01-06-2016. Just yesterday I looked up the price again and it was at a couple odds over $707! That's a gain of almost $200 dollars over less than two weeks!

After just one search of how to get bitcoin for free, I learnt the term "bitcoin faucet". A couple hours later I signed up for a bitcoin wallet on www.coinbase.com and I get started with various different faucets that paid upwards from 1000 satoshi every 10 to 20 minutes!
Unfortunately the minimum thresholds to reach before these faucets paid out your faucet balance to your wallet was from 750 000 satoshi up to 0.012 BTC. If you know how little faucets payout, then you know that takes an INSANE amount of time to build up on one faucet. Nevertheless, with the help of referrels I built up 750 000 satoshi in 5 days on biobtc.net! When I requested a payout though, they told me nothing, deducted the 750000 from my in faucet balance and put a message saying 'pending' next to the amount in my transactions list. it is now a week later and yet the payment is panding, believe it or not I'd claimed 0.02 BTC from that faucet but still no payout.
But with everything bad comes some good as well, I now knew that there were faucets that didn't payout, but I also knew that there were faucets that did payout; bitcoinzebra.com paid out my first 3000 satoshi directly into a xapo.com bitcoin wallet it created for me when I made my first claim as a show of good faith when I entered my email address instead of my coinbase wallet address. I've explored quite a sum of faucets since and I've watched some faucets run out of funds, so yes, this is real and yes they do run out.

Bitcoin Faucet List
So without further-a-do, here's the list of faucets I've used and their credibility (in my opinion) alongside the name, I will improve the list with extra info such as :time from 0 to withdrawal, average time spent on the faucet, average payout per claim, payout time/frequency, claim time/frequency, refferals etc.)

www.milli.io
Status: LEGIT!
Withdrawal Minimum: 13k satoshi
Satoshi per claim: 100-200
Time between claims: 5 minutes
Payout period: Weekly on Sundays if in faucet balance is more than/or equal to minimum.
Refferrels: no

Pays out an average of about 150 satoshi per claim. You wait only 5 minutes between claims and you have to reach a minimum of 13k satoshi before they payout, but they only payout on weekends, they're legit though and they're constantly running. and Payout your total balance to your wallet every Sunday.

moonbit.co.in
Status: LEGIT!
Withdrawal Minimum: 10k satoshi
Satoshi per claim: Depends on time waited (for most value claim every 5 minutes)
Time between claims: NONE
Payout period: Weekly on Sundays if balance is more than/or equal to minimum.
Refferrels: yes

Lets you claim when you want, no waiting. The more you claim the faster your balance increases though. As a tip from a regular user; to optimize the amount you claim per session, be sure to claim every five minutes. The minimum withdrawal amount is 20k satoshi. If you set aside about 30 - 60 minutes a day per week, you'll make the claim buy the time they payout (Also every Sunday). The longer you take to claim, the slower the amount of satoshi you can claim increases. So make a point of claiming at every 5minute interval!

www.freebitco.in
Status: LEGIT!
Withdrawal Minimum: 25k satoshi
Satoshi per claim: 500 (avg.)
Time between claims: 1 hour
Payout period: Weekly on weekends if in faucet balance is more than/or equal to minimum.
Refferrels: yes

A pretty good faucet if you're prepared to jump off what you're doing every now and then to give it a couple seconds of attention. pays out in the region of 500 satoshi hourly. You can check a tick box to notify you that the waiting period has run out and you can make your next claim.

worldofbitco.in
Status: LEGIT!
Withdrawal Minimum: 25k satoshi
Satoshi per claim: 500 (avg.)
Time between claims: 1 hour
Payout period: pays out to FaucetBox.com on command!
Refferrels: no

Nothing to say about this faucet, pretty straight forward. The only Thing of note here is FaucetBox; Faucetbox is a site that helps lower the cost of very low btc transactions to those using it, so I generally trust faucets using faucetbox. Faucets pay your satoshi directly to your faucetbox account and when a minimum withdrawal limit 13k is the default limit, but you can set it higher. And the satoshi will be paid out to your wallet directly and almost instantaneously! no 6 - 48hour wait like the others.

getyourbitco.in

Withdrawal Minimum: 25k satoshi
Satoshi per claim: 500 (avg.)
Time between claims: 1 hour
Payout period: Weekly on weekends if in faucet balance is more than/or equal to minimum.
Refferrels: yes

Pretty much the same as worldofbitco.in, except you get a % of everything your referrals claim.

faucetgame.com
Status: TESTING
Withdrawal Minimum: 25k satoshi
Satoshi per claim: 500 (avg.)
Time between claims: 1 hour
Payout period: Weekly on weekends if in faucet balance is more than/or equal to minimum.
Refferrels: yes

This is a Faucet I signed up to just last week. I found it in a FaucetBox faucet rotator and I trust FaucetBox, so I'm really hopeful for this one. They also Have a Daily bonus of your level in the faucet X375!. Levels are bought with the satoshi you claimed from the faucet. The level you are earns you better privileges in the faucet and allows you to bet higher in their games. They claim that the odds are against the house. To claim the Daily Bonus you have to have played a specified amount of games in their online casino, using the satoshi you claimed from their faucet (you don't need to deposit any satoshi, only claim from their faucet). Also try and stay active in chat. It costs 100 satoshi to send a message, the satoshi gets accumulated and put into a 'rain pool'. Every hour all the satoshi in the pool is "showered" on active users in chat! That's a guarenteed return on investment. All you have to do is be in the chatroom for at least an hour.

Side Note: I am Muslim and it is Ramadaan, so I can't gamble, but I was taught if you don't bet any of your own money and win, the winnings is halaal for you. please point out if I am wrong with Quraan and/or hadith reference if I am wrong in that assumption guys.

claimbtc.com
Status: TESTING
Withdrawal Minimum: 20k satoshi
Satoshi per claim: 30+ (increases as you keep using it)
Time between claims: 20 minutes
Payout period: whenever you decide to request a withdrawal
Refferrels: yes

This faucet isn't exactly the same as every other boring faucet. When starting out, each claim made will get you an amount of satoshi between a minimum and maximum assigned to your account. Generally your min and max claim increases everyday you use the faucet. What makes this faucet unique though are the 'bonuses' they give every now and then that either increase or decrease the max amount of satoshi and decrease your waiting time between claims. and you can use those bonuses when you see fit, but be careful; they disappear if kept for too long. There's also an app you can install on your mobile from the istore or google play and claim when you're on the go!

Withdrawal Minimum: 20k satoshi
Satoshi per claim: 30+ (increases as you keep using it)
Time between claims: 5 minutes
Payout period: whenever you decide to request a withdrawal
Refferrels: yes

This faucet is practically ClaimBTC.com with a shorter waiting period between claims.

www.gemmanews.com

Withdrawal Minimum: 25k satoshi
Satoshi per claim: 100
Time between claims: 1 minute
Payout period: Claims to payout during the last week of each month.
Referrals: yes
Referral Commission: Active referrals get you 10 000 satoshi when they've made 40 claims

biobtc.net
Status: SCAM

Withdrawal Minimum: 25k satoshi
Satoshi per claim: 1000-10 000 satoshi
Time between claims: 20 minutes
Payout period: Claims to payout once you reach 750k satoshi.
Referrals: yes
Referral Commission: Get a certain % of each claim a refferal makes.

I HATE biobtc.net. Their site is cool and they payout a lot of satoshi every 20 minutes, but they only increase your in-faucet balance and they never payout the satoshi you accumulate when you request a withdrawal. the payout status just sits in pending for who knows how long and never comes through to your wallet!

Other bloggers to follow:
I've tried finding a maintained list of faucets, probably the same as you guys are doing now and I found very few useful and reliable lists online, but a serious blog I keep open in my browser when digging up bitcoin is this BitcoinsForJoe on www.cryptocointalk.com. He's got a lot more experience and he influenced me to do the same since I figured I have my own list of faucets, maybe having blog followers will motivate me to maintain this list online.

I'm still busy writing this post and will conclude in this week, I've got a lot more faucets I tested that failed and some promising ones that pay me out weekly, after two weeks I'm at a little over 118k satoshi in my wallet, so I've got some good stuff coming, stay tuned!

One of the best paying "faucets" I've ever used is Bitcoinget. I say faucet with quotes because you do surveys and accept other offers and such for the payout, but it's by far the best income vs effort situation I've found on the internet for "free" bitcoin. If you're interested and you'd like to help a brother out, I have a referral link available here. I have a 74,600 satoshi payout pending right now, and that was only about a half an hour worth of work at the site and they usually pay out within 24 hours. I've collected over .07 in total there, and it wasn't full of mindless clicking every 15 minutes or so.

sweet! Thanks! will add to my list!

Yo robsteady, how do I qualify to do the jobs? all of the jobs say I'm not qualified to completed those tasks but they seem simple?
This is like freelancing, no one wants to give you a chance

I'm not sure how to qualify. I remember there was some step I had to go through to get started with them but I don't recall how to do it. It may have been something you do through crowdflower.com directly. Sorry I don't remember more specifically.
