Good luck to those who relied their "knowledge" solely on the mainstream media

I saw this recently and thought it's a great lesson for all.

Good luck to those who relied their "knowledge" solely on the mainstream media.

Technically I'm not saying that you should believe even a word from me or anything from anywhere you read it from but do your own research, form your own opinion rather than just putting your faith on mainstream media or anywhere for that matter.

From the looks of it, they haven't had as good a crystal ball as you and I have ;)

We are all on a journey, remember to enjoy the sights and sounds along the way, and do good as often as you can and as much as possible.

Not to rain on your parade @alexthemagician, but the article whose headline you based the premise of your post upon was making the case for the internet being the way of the future, and was debunking a commonly held line of the time among late adapters, particularly in business, that "the internet is just a fad".

That would be why the quotation marks are used in the headline, as opposed to a statement making headline like; The Internet is just a fad, which you would have if the author took the position you assumed him to hold.

If you don't want to take my word for it, please check the news archives.

Thanks for pointing that out. I had suspicion of those quotation marks too.

So many fads that have passed us by! Very funny.

Amazing how accurate the mainstream media have been, warning us, apparently for our interests ;)

The lame stream would love it if we all believed their bs. Thanks for the laugh.

Remaining outside the constraints of convention is no guarantee of brilliance in prognostication, however.
Millions of fundamentalists are still convinced computers will never last, come Judgment Day. (Not just "Christians", either)
My suspicion is it's not humanity that's headed towards apotheoses, based on how poorly it deals with its own basic technology, let alone more advanced trends of the past century...

beauty post.thanks for sharing.
