When I joined Steemit two years ago, things were very different and I could sense the positive energy around. It wasn't only about the voting, I remember things were easier and users enjoyed using the platform everyday.
The early adopters made good amount of Steem and SBD. Times flies fast and things changed a lot too with the voting, comments and users. I miss the old times.

Pero tu y yo (que ya llevamos casi 2 años) seguimos aquí,por algo será. La respuesta a lo que está pasando en Steemit es clara: se está apostando por los SMT’s e Inversionistas para de ahí lanzar otros proyectos externos dejando a steemit solo como
Base de lo que viene a través de su Blockchain. La otra vez platicaba con una Ballena y ya me comentó que ni siquiera se dice steemit platform ya ahora es solo Steem. Me atrevo a decir que el concepto principal solo fue una prueba para lo que viene. No sé si sea bueno o malo, pero aqui seguimos y tambien es necesario expandir el contenido a las nuevas plataformas que van a llegar. “Evolve or Die” como dirían. Respecto lo de la gente que quiere dinero, lo dije desde hace un año se debe a la mala publicidad que se ha dado de steemit que vende la falsa posibilidad de hacerte millonario y por eso llega gente a solo pedir dinero y votos. Bueno en el SteemFest2 todo era sobre el SMT sin embargo, me parece que si empezaron con este proyecto por lo menos debieron dejarlo establecido y no a medias. Sabes que una de las cosas que mas me ha decepcionado es que los usuarios ya no leen lo que publicas y hay muchas cuentas falsas (bots), eso ha causado que muchos se hayan retirado. Nobody becomes a millionaire over night, of course, unless they play the lottery haha. 2 years is a huge amount of time for a social network. Although Steemit has changed a lot, there is still a lot of room for progress and rewards and the whole network is still pretty small (around a million users AFAIK) compared to others.

No puedo opinar sobre el tema porque solo llevo una semana y media jajaja, pero supongo que tienes razón por lo poco que he visto hay mucho interés y casi nadie se toma el tiempo de leer tus publicaciones, solo entran a mostrar su "apoyo" con un comentario rápido y e nota que no saben de que es el post en cuestión.

I hear you - more bots for sure - engaging is fine for me - no major change, there never was a massive engagement on posts - people engage more off blockchain it seems :-).

I think users are making less money, unless you buy votes from a bots. Regarding to the social part, Steemit is lack of that. @thepaperboy

I don't like feeling envious, but I must admit that I wish I found Steemit a lot earlier than I did. I see huge potential in the platform, but have found it disheartening trying to compete with people paying for bot votes etc.
