This is why I will not jump on the Bitcoin train- yet. Understanding the technology behind it, I know it is not a safe form if currency. Like ANY new technology, the bugs need to be worked out.
Bitcoin is CYBER currency. Which means it TOTALLY relies on virtual technology. Right now, because it is new, the ability to hack it, means it is open to being exploited. In laymen terms it is like there is an open window at Fort Knox, and the security team guarding it is scrambling to get the window jammed. Everytime they THINK it has been fixed someone opens another window.
Until Bitcoin is absolutely safe, it is too risky in my opinion. I am going to continue to wait and watch. It will be an interesting journey!
Ehm...the coin itself has never been hacked...its flawed wallets and exchanges that get hacked.
