$4,000,000,000 Worth of Bitcoins Laundered Through BTC-e

A Russian man has just been arrested in Greece after being indicted by the US for money laundering. Alexander has mixed over $4,000,000,000+ worth of Bitcoins through his exchange, BTC-e (which has now been shut down) among other charges. Mainly he's getting screwed because of the leniency his site placed upon KYC and AML laws. (*AML - Anti-money laundering *KYC - Know your customer)

BTC is the poster child and thats great but we need to switch to more anonymous currencies like Monero or find a way to keep BTC even more anonymous. Someone please make an ICO thats anonymous af and care about the mission of remaining anonymous.

I realise that this is reality. And because Bitcoin is news, this is news. However how much is laundered in dollars, pounds and yen every day?
This type of story always seems to miss the point and gives a technology a bad name.

The technology is just that. A technology empowering and employing thousands. It is expanding and adapting at a phenomenal rate.

And to be honest. I trust this technology more than I trust the banks and individuals employed there who have their own part in the laundering and misinformation business.

All these laundering, ransomware, drug articles represent but a drop in the ocean of the obscene reality of fiat fraud we live in and are just meant to distract and introduce uncertainty.

Nice video! One thing I would disagree with you about is one of the three things you listed that the US government gets pist about, which is pedophilia. Below are two links of investigative pieces by Jason Bermas from WeAreChange.org about members in the top levels of government being involved in pedophilia, some of which are still elected members:

Amen! 🙏

And he's in jail lol

BTC-e had a history of hacking issues, heard in one of the bitcoin podcast few days ago.
