So I wandered through downtown Calgary to try out a local Bitcoin ATM/give a little how-to for anyone new.

          These look really great and they're only $6,000. I wanted to get one for my city but compliance costs take the start up costs from ~$30,000.00 to $100,000.00!

          If that was an option I'd just buy more bitcoin. Haha state of new mexico

            Yikes, that's awful! ATM operators don't have any of that stuff to contend with in Canada. Buy your machine, find a location, pay taxes on your revenues from fees. ATMs don't have any limits other than the amount of bitcoin/cash currently in the machine.

                Yeah, super easy! It can be more difficult depending on the laws where you are though. I know in certain parts of the US you have to provide a lot more identification during the process. Also be aware that the ATMs do charge fees, so it's great for getting some quick bitcoin, but if you don't care about anonymity then an online exchange like Coinbase or Circle might be a better option for you.
