According to this: http://www.coindesk.com/bitcoin-price-drops-near-2000-crypto-markets-fall-toward-70-billion/

Guess there won't be that many people, who did not recognized the drop, yet. But while i was reading some speculations about whe allready hit the bottom i became sceptic. In the past we saw many big drops affected by loosing marketcapital, drops range over 60%.. Well we hit the 3000 USD peak some weeks before, according to the drops of the past, it could easily happens, that bitcoin drops down under 100ß USD, maybe around 700-800 USD? I'm just thinking about this question, guess many others, too. Accoring to 700 USD would mean, that the marketcap goes below ~25kkk? Do you think that's some realistic number?

But for me there is one thing much more important. Im mainly investing in altcoins, less in btc. And to be sure i have no answer for my question, how much the altcions will be affected by such an drop. We saw gains in the last year, according to stratis, from 3800% and more. Do you think it could drop back to lets say 2/38 || 1/19 ?

Would be awesome to get some thoughts about.

I do think it will continue to go down until August 1st. After that I think it will level out and after a few weeks it will start to increase.

So you think this drop is hardly according to the upcoming fork? If you look on the last peak, it took years to recover

Yes I do think it's mainly about the fork. I also think that it's partly because it's summer too and people tend to sell crypto to pay for trips. I think after August 1st people will see that the world isn't over and it will start to level out. When the majority of nodes run BIP and the two chains merge back I think people will start to gain confidence back.

That's some pretty interesting thought. Well, for me this drop is some great opportunity. Also on steemit you see the greedy people leaving. The confidence in the whole market will grow much more within the next years, i guess.

let's hope for the best!

Well, the best is about the perspective ;) For some friends of mine, who want to buy in, it would great if the market crashs in the short position. I still believe in the longterm, that's no question

in a long run there is no way btc can fail.
and it exists not only online - as true as im not a tamagochi)

You are welcome ;)

What is the best gold/silver backed crypto currency?
