A group of British developers has announced the release of open source software that allows you to replace cryptocurrency wallets coded images.

The corresponding thread appeared on the forum bitcointalk.org

The Protocol uses two cryptographic techniques: Rijndael or AES (Advanced Encryption Standard) Encryption and steganography, a method to hide data in image, communication, document, or video.

Using this Protocol, the wallets are created without a network connection, is encrypted and stored in the image convertiras in the ones and zeros that are added to the RGB data (color palette) for each pixel of the picture. This improves the security level of data storage and mitigate the risk of loss of funds by users.

To evaluate all the pros and cons of using this Protocol is still difficult. For example, it is unclear whether the data at transfer of images from device to device via instant messengers (particularly WhatsApp) or image compression.

Note that the development team already stated that in case of successful completion of the project will take the encrypted cryptocurrency wallets in audio files.
