These big banks have a lot of money, I fear they won't just go away without fighting, they will try to suppress the price of cryptocurrencies as much as they can and obviously spread FUD so that people lose their interest in this market and not bother much with it.

I think most people who think bitcoin is a scam don't understand how the current banking system works. We are completely dependent on the commercial Banks. Someone has to borrow every dollar we have in circulation, cash or credit. If the Banks create ample synthetic money we are prosperous; if not, we starve. We are absolutely without a permanent money system. I believe that if the people fully understood what Congress has done to them over the last 50 years, they would move on Washington, they would not wait for an election, there would be a revolution....Bitcoin saved my life. Banks have made my life a misery for the past year. Bitcoin and ETH has never failed me. It's not about the price, it's about trust.

Great video and interesting food for thought. This thinking is definitely futuristic! I think banks will still be around for many years to come, but as crypto starts to catch on, they will start to feel the pressure and either adapt or be left behind. But at this point, crypto is still way too wild-west and volatile. But someday Michael, someday! :)

Banks will transform and find various ways to stay relevant. If they embrace crypto, they can easily start their own exchanges, enticing interests/benefits, and it will be the same again. If you ask me, the value of cryptocurrency is its use as the perfect currency for the internet. The internet is a lot bigger and older than crypto (crypto rides on the internet anyway) but I haven't known any industry it killed completely(e.g. traditional music, local TV, cable, movies). Like the internet, cryptocurrencies gives the us smaller people a bit more power/control than ever before.

Not sure if they will disappear completely but their business model will be severely challenged in the coming years. Add to the fact that they have a huge amount of risk that depend on their model working, it will be tough for them in the long run as well. However, I think they will adapt and actually participate in this space whether by investing capital or creating their own technology. They have too much power to hand it off so easily. Only time will tell.
