Is Mining Ethereum Dead?

in bitcoin •  7 years ago

So as you all know, I'm new to mining, but did I make a mistake...?
I just found out how to calculate future mining hashrates thanks to @IMineBlocks, his videos are among the best out there for learning crypto... Anyway, as you all know, I was only able to get my hands on only 5 GPUs, only 4 running on the rig... 3 are 570s and 1 is a 460. After watching his video, he shares the the way you can forecast your future hashrates on your current graphics card, rather you have an AMD 4xx or 5xx Series, even the series before those and/or an NVidia, he breaks down how they will each be affected by the increasing difficulty and increasing epoch that occurs approximately every 45 days. Long story short, even if Ethereum does not go to Proof-of-Stake soon, the difficulty will be so demanding that mining Ethereum may be next to worthless. @ImineBlocks is technical with his info and breaks it down so you can understand it, here is the link to his video, please check it out!

I hope he does't mind me posting his video, I just want people to be aware of what's going on in the crypo world.
I'm also a subscriber to his youtube page and follow him on Steemit, so I take no credit for the video, I just find it very interesting and really need to know information especially to the guys that are new to mining like myself.
Please stay tuned because the more info I find out, I will let you guys know...
