Bubbles: Stocks, Bitcoin and the World (of Debt)...

Zero Hedge published an article recently (http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2017-05-20/quarter-american-adults-cant-pay-all-their-monthly-bills-44-have-less-400-cash) that said among other things that:

  • nearly half of Americans didn’t have enough cash available to cover a $400 emergency
  • just under one-fourth of adults, or 23%, are not able to pay all of their current month’s bills in full.
Now hearing that and knowing that in the Euro Zone youth unemployment (2015 Q4) we have statistics like this:
    Greece - 49%
    Spain - 48%
    Italy - 40%
    Portugal - 32%
    France - 24%
Now the question I want you to ponder, what is the worlds most valuable company?? Apple... A company that sells expensive computers, phones and accessories.

Think about that... It is nuts. It's also nuts that 5 or 6 stocks (Facebook, Amazon, Apple, Microsoft and Netflix) influenced the US stock markets in Q1 2017 more than all the other companies. Most of these companies sell stuff too! Do you really think your retirement products (401k, Government TSPs or Superannuations) are safe?

I'll tell you what, I do think global debt is in a bubble! Why?? Because nearly every country in the world is binging on it. The Institute for International Finance reported earlier this year that global debt levels hit 325% of the world GDP. I'm not a Math or Economics major but that sounds like a lot. History has shown us that lots of bad things happen when debt bubbles Bust: Depressions, Wars and lots of Death.

Some people are now saying that Bitcoin,
Ethereum and some Alt-coins are in a bubble. Ask yourself this, is it a bubble if only myself the people you interact with on twitter and that guy in the IT department own some Bitcoin, Ethereum, or Dash? Is it a bubble if you are still trying to convince your Facebook friends to get in to Cryptos? No. I think the crypto space is not in a bubble. Yes, there still WILL be corrections. Those will be a BTFD moments.

And on a final note for every one in this crypto space you may want to take some profits and consider buying what could be the most undervalued asset in the world Silver

Americans need to stop and think about that and what can be done to fix the problem. Knowing the difference form Fiat currency and money is a start. I have a lot to learn as well.

Agreed. I did a podcast re: Money vs Currency recently. Find it on my blog. 😁
