Great review of the hard fork, but I don't think the increased wealth created by the split is free. There are likely some unseen costs here. Maybe it is coming at the future expense of bitcoin core or maybe it is coming at the expense of altcoins like Dash who are also competing in that "digital cash" space. It will take time and lots of analysis before we can really know for sure.
