One way bitcoin could die is that it gets to big. I seen a prodiction that by 2020, bitcoin will require the entire worlds electricity to mine one bitcoin. Bitcoin would have to adapt or die.

Bitcoin will never be the only consumer of electricity. Supply and demand work together to naturally regulate the price of goods in a marketplace, and that also applies to the energy market.

It can.One big massive EMP and it's all gone. :)
