Over the past few days, the Bitcoin users have seen a substantial decrease in transaction fees, as well as a general drop in the amount of the temporary pool of unverified transactions.
For example, at the end of last week, the confirmation of the transaction in the next block cost 10-12 satoshi per byte, but this morning it dropped almost 10 times. Now messages have begun to emerge, such as the Twitter user Armin van Bitcoin, who announced that today for the transaction confirmation in the next block, it would take 1-2 satoshi per byte.
Armin van Bitcoin has used the data on the site jochen-hoenicke.de, which shows that the average transaction price, equivalent to the US dollar, is only $ 0.25 - a truly dramatic decline compared to the end of December when the cost of one transaction reached $ 30- $ 40.
This effect is partly explained by the drop in the cost of the Bitcoin itself, but it is obvious that the amount of charges has dropped - only three or four weeks ago, for the quick confirmation of a transaction, more than 100 bets had to be paid.
There has also been a significant reduction in the number of spam-transactions in the network, for which the representatives of Bitcoin Cash have been accused.
It is also important to pay attention to the memo: today its size is less than 40 MB while in the middle of January it reached 140 MB.
The increased number of SegWit transactions that make life easier on the battle network is also greatly influenced.
