On January 5th I received my last paycheck. I recently got the job back but during that whole month of not having an income to fall back to, I turned to crypto hoping to make something worthwhile in the meantime. My desktop is considered adequate so I decided to mine some altcoins. I focused on verge, lux, and digibyte because everything else was too intense in difficulty for my poor 1050ti to compete, but I was happy because I was making something at least, but compared to my job what I had mined was basically collecting pennies on the street.

Another route to take

I was searching on how to earn bitcoin for free to desperately take advantage of the dip so I stumbled across two faucets, freebitco.in and freedogeco.in. What's unique about these two faucets are that after you receive your free bitcoin/doge, which can vary based on the number you roll every hour, you can then play a "provably fair" lottery game.

All or nothing

You have two options for the lottery, manual or auto. In manual, you can select the amount you want to bet and if you want to participate in the jackpot (which means you have to get a specific number in order to win). You then choose "HI" or "LO" and whatever group the number lands in shows you if you won or lost. Needless to say, I lost my whole balance multiple times on both sites. As a result, unless you have people to sign up on your referral link, you're basically looking at a number on the screen (because the withdrawal minimum is so high). Even though I "enjoyed" the adrenaline rush of gaining satoshi and then losing them, I went on to other faucets.

How I basically became a professional time waster

I soon found the moon series of faucets, which tied into coinpot to manage all the different coins you accumulated. You had your choice of moonbitcoin, moonlitecoin, moondash, moondoge, and moonbitcoincash.
