The environmentalist and globalist need a one world economic system to connect the world, so they can try to control global activities to protect the earth. It's also for nefarious reasons, but the environmentalist know they need one system to have a chance of stopping activities they think will damage the earth in all corners. Global protection, they know doesn't work, if one part does it's work and another don't.
For that reason and other ambitious people who want to be the first ruler of a combine world would want Bitcoin to work. It's not a choice the world really have. The economies of the world are being destroyed right now with weak currencies. It's a domino effect. Euro's weak loophole with forever loan to debt to the southern states, will destroy demands for eastern products in Asia. If Asia falls, then their investment in Africa fails. Both of these will destroy the demands of oil, which will weaken Russia and Middle Eastern oil producers. All this will destroy demand for US currencies since nobody will have money to buy the trillions of US Tbonds. South America is already feeling the failings of their currencies. The world has a currency problem, whether they want to admit it or not. So either a bankrupt world or a blockchain currencies.
Yes some people want to be equal, but most sane people don't want equal to poverty. Most people who says they want equal rights, they want prosperity rights. Who wants to be equal rights to the poor?? If everyone is poor, no body would care about equal rights, instead they'll be more interested in finding food. For that reason, people will be picking Bitcoin and Crypto to equalize the finances of the world in one footing..
Bitcoin and blockchain money will rebound, but when is the question and not if.
