As at the time of making post-30th of December, 2017, one Bitcoin is worth $13,215 on Coin Market. Not quit long, the price skyrocket from about $10,000 to about $20,000 ($19,800). This fall in price is associated to the ongoing Bitcoin correction. One year ago, the price of one Bitcoin was about $1200.
Now, lets do the maths; 13215/1200*100=1101%. Thats about a thousand percent increase in about one year. Thus, we can make a prediction that by 30th December, 2018, one Bitcoin will be worth about $100,000.
Bitcoin and other digital currency are the most volatile currency and it price can change rapidly from the time one places an order for a cup of coffee to receiving the order. Despite it volatile nature, the general trend has been upward, this is due to the limited supply of coins-not more than 21 million Bitcoin will ever be made. Presently, there are about 16,772,025 Bitcoins in circulation and Bitcoin has a market cap of $221,652,373,590.
Many companies now accept Bitcoin as a mean of payment, this include Microsoft, Wordpress, Shylock Consults Limited etc. As more companies and people accept Bitcoin as a mean of payment and as many more use it as a store of value, the price will continue to sky-rock due to it limited suppy
Bitcoin is a better store of value than Gold and more and more people are using it as a store of wealth, some call it the digital gold. The possibility of Bitcoin hitting $100,000 in 2018 is very high.
