Cryptocurrency adoption throughout the world is rather slow. This is no truer than in developed countries.
There is one place where cryptocurrencies are starting to take hold.
On the continents of South America and Africa, "digital" money is starting to make some inroads. A country such as Venezuela, which is suffering from both a failing economy and a hyperinflating currency, is embracing the alternative currencies. One of the main reasons is the Bolivar is causing too many hassles for everyday people.

Yeah but in Venezuela, they've criminalized Bitcoin and seized miners. They want citizens dependent on Petro, which by very nature is centralized. It's hardly a breakthrough for the blockchain revolution!
