Norwegian Billionaire Believes Bitcoin Becoming Mainstream Is Inevitable
Norwegian oil billionaire Kjell Inge Rokke believes that bitcoin could be worth millions of dollars. He owns almost 70% of the industrial investment company Aker ASA, which owns oil producer Aker BP that recently branched out into green technology and renewable energy. Rokke’s enthusiasm for bitcoin has made an impact on Aker, which now says it is open to the idea of accepting payments in BTC. Tom Lee Remains Bullish On Bitcoin Despite Tesla's Abrupt U-Turn
Fundstrat 's Tom Lee is confident that bitcoin will continue to rally in the wake of Elon Musk's abrupt reversal on allowing Tesla to accept the crypto as payment. He told, It is probably better to view it as a call to action for the bitcoin industry to focus on renewables or more efficient ways to provide proof of work. Yet, Lee is confident enough that market will move past Musk's flip-flopping that he has upgraded his bitcoin price outlook from $100,000 to $125,000 for 2021. Vitalik Buterin Burns $6.7 billion SHIB Tokens As Reward To Holders
Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin burned almost half of the total supply of Shiba Inu (SHIB) token that is 90% of tokens in his holdings in support of the generosity of the dog token Community. He shared this in a statement embedded into the transaction on May 16, where he emphasized his decision to burn $6.7 billion worth of SHIB tokens, and also to remove speculations around him. Banking System Uses Much More Energy Than Bitcoin Report Shows
Recent report by Galaxy Digital analyzed Bitcoin energy usage as compared to traditional banking energy consumption, results showed that the traditional banking system consumes more than double the energy bitcoin consumes. The report compared the energy consumption between the banking system, gold, and bitcoin. The Bitcoin network consumes an about 113.89 TWh/yr in total while the gold industry uses about 240.61 TWh/yr, and the bank consumes much more. Read Full on Bitcoin News.
Elon Musk Says Tesla Has Not Sold Any Bitcoin
Tesla CEO Elon Musk wrote in a tweet “To clarify speculation, Tesla has not sold any bitcoin.” This was after a lot of speculations during the heated exchange on Sunday with other crypto enthusiasts. People had speculated that Musk’s Tesla Company may have sold its bitcoins or is planning to sell them shortly. Mark Cuban Says Dallas Mavericks Would Be Happy to Accept ADA
As Cardano keeps hitting new all-time highs, it has caught the attention of yet another billionaire: Mark Cuban. The Dallas Mavericks owner recently took to Twitter to ask the utility of the fourth-largest cryptocurrency, urging IOHK CEO Charles Hoskinson to pitch the project to him.
